The Tesla model Y long range is available with two drive options. Theres a dual motor version, which gives you all-wheel drive and the equivalent of 384BHP with a range of up to 330 miles on a single charge. The single motor version is rear wheel drive only developing the equivalent of 347 BHP in combustion engine terms. Theres also a performance model which gets the equivalent of 426BHP. It features pretty much the same spec as the Long Range Model Y however, on the outside you get 21’’ Rims as standard, a beefier brakes with red calipers and a lowered suspension. Model Y’s come standard with 19 inch wheels and a five seater interior with a full length panoramic glass roof that's coated to give ultraviolet and infrared protection to the driver and passengers. Up front there are 12 way fully electric seats, heated both in the front and in the rear. Theres also a heated steering wheel plus a decent 14 speaker surround sound system and two wireless smartphone charging pads. In the centre there's a 15.4 inch TFT touch screen that has built in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity and a DAB radio. The Tesla Model Y gets an electronic stabilisation control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, collision avoidance monitoring and autonomous braking all as standard. There's a built-in dash cam, plus you get keyless driving using the app on your phone. Temperature is controlled using the Model Y’s dual zone air climate control and in the centre there’s a decent sized cubby with ample storage plus a couple of cup holders. All model Y’s get a built in sat NAV system, a reverse camera, blind spot monitoring, speed limit warning, cruise control, lane keepy and full sign recognition. On the outside the car gets LED daytime running lights, light sensing LED headlights that come with auto high beam, a pair of rain sensing wipers and some power folding auto dimming, heated wing mirrors. Round at the back there are some nice LED tail lights, plus all model Ys get an electronically assisted tail lift. Inside, the boot is quite generous and with the rear seats down, electronically foldable from the back, the car can easily accommodate a bicycle or a number of large suitcases plus there’s ample space underneath the boot floor for the charging cables and the emergency pack. Under the bonnet, theres an extra boot known commonly as a frunk or a froot, where you can also store the cables or a couple of overnight bags.
