Another find of the earliest builds of various Need For Speed games (mostly from the Black Box era), this time it’s the OPS2M Demo build of NFS Carbon, released in October of 2006, while being build in July of the same year. I was also lucky enough to find the PAL/European release of this Demo disc alone again, but just like previous one, I can’t link you where to find the disc, due to copyrights, so you’re gonna have to find it on your own. Notable differences compared to the final build: -Different "Need For Speed Carbon" logo - silver-ish -Different loading screen (not full picture, just a loading bar in the center of the screen) -PSA being static image instead of a video with Nikki -Way different intro cutscene (shows Kenji at the end with his line used in final game during first introduction in career mode) -Different title screen (with old logo) -San Juan being explorable location in a Circuit Event, with landmarks, as well as pursuit speedbreakers -Different tips screen -Neville driving the same car as main player instead of his own car -Opponents driving Kenji’s car -Better looking HUD and overall visuals -Drifting physics more controlable -Canyon Event showing better visuals as well -Appareantly, Kenji was meant to be the last boss of the game, considering he was main antagonist that was shown in this release, as well as his car being used here by others And much more!
