In today's video we talk about how you can extend your webcam's USB cable and reduce latency. We’re going to run through potential troubleshooting steps for an active extension cable. Steps to connect and extend your webcam’s USB cable: Run extension cord to desired location Plug in webcam’s USB into the extension cord Plug in extension cord to computer *If computer does not detect connection, power the extension cord with AC adapter or directly connect the webcam to computer first then try again with extension cord Open recording program (like OBS) Setup screen capture of timer Setup screen capture of the webcam pointed at the timer Click record in OBS (or recording program) then start on the timer Stop after a few seconds You should then see if there is a delay in playback and how big of a delay it is.
