Repair my New Bright RC Land Rover - Motor and Receiver PART #2 Working on the Receiver This car worked fine on reasonable flat surfaces but it really struggled in the grass "off road" so I thought I would answer many requests and modify it to use a 2S LiPo. It has 5 AA batteries as standard so it should handle a little over 7.5 volts comfortably however I soon found that the extra power available was enough to burn out the motor and the receiver. I think the motor overheated struggling in the grass, maybe shorting out one of the windings and that allowed it to draw too much current which then fried the power transistors on the receiver board. I am putting all the videos relating to this car in this playlist New Bright RC Land Rover • New Bright RC Land Rover Regarding questions about the circuit board I used, I bought mine on eBay, other online sites will sell it too.
