The only known surviving footage of William Hartnell being interviewed on video gives a rare insight into his personality and life post-Doctor Who. This interview was shot whilst he was doing his make-up for a pantomime. He seems to get rather angsty when asked about his time as the Doctor and overall a rather grumpy person (the interviewer acknowledges the latter), but at the same time has a natural charm and old man sweetness to him as any other old-fashioned grandfather would.
