Just had a few minutes to walk a couple blocks. Jack Metner from Idaho and I decided to get back up there this year to do some appraisals. Kind of hard to get it in the head of the HAN board that what we do is a service that is NOT a money maker. Actually, many classic car owners NEED to be educated that your cars is valuable to you and that if damaged or you file a loss claim, you may need to have a professional back up document to prove value. I see too many problems with insurance adjusters that have no CLUE about value and declare some cars salvage in error. We try to spread the word about the importance of an appraisal. We could do much better going up there with a car to sell, or swap meet parts-- or just have fun participating in the HAN events. But we work our tails off providing the appraisal service.
