Frusciante, Lennon & The Walrus - Uncovering The Inherent Meaning of the Avant-Garde

John Frusciante is a student of two seemingly opposing philosophies. The Avant-garde roots found in his album Niandra Lades and the structuralist masterpiece The Empyrean. Several decades prior, John Lennon started as a strait ahead rocker and ended up in the avant-garde with Yoko Ono by his side. In this video, I will be looking at the avant-garde roots of Frusciante and how that relates to the more experimental side of John Lennon. The video will conclude with my interpretation of Lewis Carroll's "The Walrus & The Carpenter" to uncover the inherent meaning of the Beatles' "I am The Walrus".
