2016 NAACL HCQA Workshop: OUSIA vs. California NASAT Team Congrats to OUSIA, the winner of the 2016 NAACL Workshop on Human-Computer Question Answering’s shared task. Ikuya Yamada’s system crushed the competition in the machine-only prelim to take on a team of top human trivia experts: California’s National All-Star Academic Tournament team. California’s team is the reigning national champions and one of the favorites to win 2016’s tournament. Watch them take on OUSIA in a game of thirty tossup questions after a description of the system. Thanks to Kurtis Droge, who wrote the questions. We’ll be putting on the event next year, and hope to have more machine systems competing.
