As a 28 year old, I had no idea why this disease happened or what I could do to heal from it. While I was going through medical treatment, I also studied a lot to learn how I could assist my healing. That's when I found yoga. I started to practice asanas over YouTube and started studying the yoga philosophy through various books such as works by Swami Vivekananda, Bhagavad Gita, Swami Rama, Western Philosophers like Loiuse Hay etc. This helped me recover from the cancer and also from the side effects of 2 surgeries, 16 cycles of chemotherpahy, radiation and immunotherapy. After I recovered, I did my teacher's training course under Dr Balasundra Srinath in Mysore. Since then I have practiced with many teachers across India and have studied hundreds of yogic texts. I also have a Masters degree in Psychology and a Bachelors in Education. I have been able to draw parallels between ancient yogic science and Modern Psychology. By grace of God, I have been able to put all this knowledge in our offerings at Satvic Movement. Please note, these are simple asanas that patients can easily practice. In case you have had any surgery, please wait for 6 months before starting a physical practice. You can learn the knowledge via our videos and also practice Pranayama and Meditation until you recover. Remember, you have the power to assist your own healing. This has come into your life because you have the necessary will and strength to overcome it. My love is with you every step of the way, no matter where you are.
