The Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region (RQHR) values hand hygiene as an important component to keep our residents and clients safe. We know that everyone has their own way of washing their hands. The RQHR has adopted a standard way to preform hand hygiene that we would like our staff to learn and use based on best practice methods. Everyone has their own way to wash and often times we miss key areas. The thumbs, between fingers and tips are the most commonly missed areas. If we use the same method every time we can ensure a better wash and keep our family safe.
