Would Rebeca Andrade have won the All-Around Finals in the new Code of Points? | CoP : 2022-24

I'm terribly sorry about the abrupt cutting of the routine to exclude the choreography. I wish I was able to include the full routines however the International Olympic Committee (IOC) owns the footage from the Olympics. Essentially, including full routines will make the video completely blocked. As such, I could only cut and paste the individual skills in order to upload this video. Once again, I'm so sorry that I couldn't show the full routines! 2020 Tokyo Olympics Artistic Gymnastics Women's Individual All-Around champion Suni Lee (USA) clinched the Gold Medal by less than 2 tenths (0.200) from runner-up and silver medalist, Rebeca Andrade (BRA). Rebeca was a favourite to win the AA title, due to finishing second to Simone Biles in the qualifying rounds, several tenths ahead of Suni. However, extra steps and penalties cost Rebeca the medal. Though they had the same total difficulty in the finals, how will their AA Programs fare against each other in the new Code of Points? Would Rebeca Andrade have been able to win the Olympic AA finals in the new CoP? In this video, we take a look at how Rebeca's routines are affected by the changes made in the new CoP. By extension, also if Rebeca would have won the AA finals in the new Code. For reference, in the 2017-2021 CoP, Rebeca's AA program in the AA Finals was 6.0+6.3+5.7+5.9 for a total of 23.9 .
