#fruitcustard #eggless #flavorsofmyplate Fruit Custard | Eggless Fruit Custard Recipe | Flavors Of My Plate As the summer season is here it's time to indulge ourselves in some cool and refreshing desserts. These days markets are filled with fresh and colorful fruits. So, let's make Fruit Custard which is not only delicious but hassle-free too. Usually, the custard is a cooked mixture of milk/cream and egg yolk; its consistency can vary from thin pouring sauce to thick pastry cream. The cooking option also varies. But, the method I used is very easy and crowd-pleasing too. So, let's begin with the recipe: INGREDIENTS: 1. Milk: 500 ml 2. Custard Powder: 2 tbsp 3. Sugar: 1/4 cup 4. Fresh Fruits (chopped): as per your choice 5. Cashew Nuts, Raisins, Tutti-Frutti: as per your choice 6. Almonds (chopped): for garnishing METHOD: 1. Take a pan and add milk in it. Boil the milk until it gets reduced to half. This will take somewhere around 8-10 mins. 2. Stir the milk continuously otherwise it will stick to the bottom. Scrape the sides of the pan. 3. Take the custard powder and add a few tablespoons of boiling milk in it. Mix well. Do not add the milk at once it will form lumps. 4. Add sugar in the boiling milk and cook the mixture for 2-3 minutes. 5. It's time to add in the custard mixture. Add this mixture in stages and stir the milk continuously otherwise it will stick to the bottom. 6. Cook the custard for 5-6 minutes until it changes color and becomes thick. Once done we will switch off the flame. 7. Strain the custard using a strainer in order to get silky smooth custard which will melt in our mouth. 8. Cover the lid of the bowl and let it cool down. You can keep this custard in the refrigerator too. 9. Once done take out the custard from the refrigerator. Add in the chopped fruits as per your choice. Mix well. 10. You can also add some cashew nuts, raisins and tutti-frutti. It will enhance the flavor of our Fruit Custard. 11. Serve the Fruit Custard in the dessert bowls. Garnish the fruit custard with some chopped cashew nuts, raisins, tutti-frutti, chopped almonds, and pomegranate. 12. Enjoy this yummiclious fruit custard as it is or allow it to cool down and serve chilled.
