I've had a fear of deep frying for many years (namely because of an overflow accident from awhile back, lets not talk about it) so when I had a sudden urge to make deep fried chicken skins, I was a bit scared. I am happy to say I have overcome my fear and the end result was FANTASTIC! Skip to the 5:45 if you want to see me eat one of these bad boys--and just listen to that crunch! I understand the obsession over ASMR a bit more now. My first encounter with deep fried chicken skins was at the OC Fair (I don't count eating fried chicken and eating just the skin) so the fact that I can make these at home is a dangerous end result. I recommend eating it with a sriracha ketchup/ranch sauce with a pickled element to cut through the fat. Bon appetit!
