This is an easy and beginner-friendly knit coaster pattern. It is made of kitchen string (also known as butchers' or bakers' twine), that string that's commonly found in kitchens and DIY shops alike. What's great about this coaster is, it's pretty much a gauge swatch and follows the same basic steps. So once you make this, you can also make a stockinette stitch gauge swatch which is a handy thing to know and will be useful on your knitting journey. My main aim for this video was to create a very concise pattern (something I am trying to practice) and also to serve as an introduction to reading patterns for those who are new to it.
