My friend Piotr Kuczewski have designed and manufactures his own oxalic acid sublimator. Mana Queen have put it to a test in New Zealand soil. Few words from the man himself as how to use his device: Minimal temperature of the surrounding during treatment with oxalic acid should not be lower than 5°C. Before sublimating, the vaporizer should be pre-heated, which takes approx. 6 minutes. You should work with a medium flame. It should takes approx. 7-10 seconds to vaporize 2 grams* of oxalic acid. If the nozzle of the device clogs and the vaporizing lasts significantly longer, it means that the temperature is too low and the heat should be slightly turned up. If 2 grams* of oxalic acid vaporize immediately, in 2-3 seconds, and you notice that vapors are bluish and transparent it means that temperature is too high and the heath needs to be turned down. The pot inside the device is made of thick aluminum, therefore it keeps the stable temperature. The device can become overheated only when it is left idle with a heat on for too long, at least 10 minutes. There is no risk of overheating during continuous work with a medium flame as it is cooled down by vaporizing oxalic acid.Device is designed to work continuously and there is no need to make breaks between hives.
