Well, this was an interesting turn in their discography, that's for sure. This album definitely felt like them stepping away from Britpop and them trying out different ideas and I thought that the result was interesting. This album to me was really a mixed bag, I really liked some tracks and others I didn't enjoy as much. I thought that the first half of the album started off well and then it kind of lost me a bit in the second half. I don't know if its just me, but there wasn't much bass presence in this album and I felt like that took away from the experience. I felt like I was paying attention to the drums and guitar the whole time. There were still some really good vocals and choruses on here, but it felt like the lyrics didn't have as much content as I was maybe expecting. Still a solid album though, and I wouldn't say that there were particularly a "bad" track. I think that this album will grow on me, and repeated listens will make me appreciate certain tracks more.
