How to separate stereo file to dual mono from the timeline in Premiere

Tutorial explaining a work around if you need to separate a stereo audio channel into dual mono tracks in your timeline not in the project panel in Adobe Premiere CC2020. If you haven't already begun working in a sequence and need to interpret footage as dual mono instead of stereo then simply right click the file in the project panel the choose 'Modify' then 'Audio Channels'; then change 'Clip Channel Format' to 'Mono'; then change 'Number of Audio Clips' to '2'. Then you're done. Your clip will be ready to separate out each channel when you bring it into a sequence. This tutorial is for those who already have an established timeline and need to convert a number of edited clips from the timeline without having to re-edit. I couldn't find a tutorial when I needed it and found this work around so I hope this is useful for other too.
