Course Description This course introduces students to the foundational concepts of Web3, including decentralization, blockchain systems, digital ownership, smart contracts, tokenized participation, and emerging governance models. Students learn how Web3 differs from earlier internet models and how decentralized systems reshape authority, trust, exchange, and participation in digital environments. The course also introduces students to SydTek University’s evidence-linked learning model and the use of GitHub as an academic evidence environment. Repository visibility may be public or private unless otherwise stated, but authorized academic reviewers must be able to inspect required evidence. Credit is awarded for documented learning and progression, not for visibility alone. Public and Private Pathways Where public posting or public critique is encouraged, an equivalent rigorous private pathway must remain available where appropriate.
