We all have worked for many years in Metropolis (music store) - the owner owes us all a lot of money in severance pay. We have children, we don't have enough money to live. We cannot afford to buy our children shoes. We don't have enough money to get by - for our everyday necessities. That's because of unemployment, for those who lost their jobs - and also due to salary reduction for those who are still working. On the one hand, we see that (interest rate) spreads are not on the rise any longer, that people now bring their money back to the banks and that the stock market is going up, but as far as the middle class is concerned, the conditions are much worse right now compared to what was happening before. Unemployment for young people is over 60 percent and it seems to me that the government cannot go on like that." 16. Close of poster calling for general strike by civil servants' union 17.
