The Painful execution of Irma Grese *Warning HARD TO STOMACH.

Irma Grese was born in 1923 in Germany. After her mother’s suicide, she was raised by her strict father. In 1942, she began working in concentration camps, first at Ravensbrück and later at Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. At Auschwitz, Grese became infamous for her cruelty. Survivors said she beat, tortured, and humiliated prisoners, often targeting women out of jealousy. She was also accused of sexual affairs with SS officers and abusing female inmates, later sending them to the gas chambers. Her beauty and brutality earned her nicknames like “The Hyena of Auschwitz” and “The Beautiful Beast.” After the war, Grese was tried at the Belsen Trials. Found guilty of war crimes, she was sentenced to death. On December 13, 1945, at age 22, she was hanged by British executioner Albert Pierrepoint. Her last word was “schnell” (“quickly”). She remains remembered as one of the most feared female guards of the Holocaust.
