I’m often asked about operating ham radio digital modes and portable ham radio simultaneously. So I thought right now would be an excellent time to put out a portable HF digital mode series, to help other operators set up a man portable Digital HF station. To kick off the series I put together three different types of stations for ham radio operators. The first station is built around a notebook/netbook type laptop. The second is built around an Android tablet. The third is built around an Android smartphone. We use a common interface for all three, but more on that later.
