Clinical presentation of MS, NMOSD, and MOGAD: differentiating between the three conditions

Marcello Moccia, MD, PhD, University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy, comments on the clinical presentations of multiple sclerosis (MS), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD). Dr Moccia notes that the three conditions often have similar presentations and differentiation relies on a combination of clinical presentation, imaging studies, and cerebrospinal fluid analysis.
