One thing is certain. Cloudways definitely delivers when it comes to performance. The hosting is blazingly fast and reliable. That's because they use tried and true servers from DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, Amazon and Google, so performance is guaranteed. But when it comes to pricing, Cloudways has some very shady practices in place that are, in my opinion, bordering on scam territory. Luckily, it's easy to get out if you wish to, since they operate on a pay-as-you-go payment model, which means you pay monthly and you never pay upfront. Still, they are a rather expensive option, and you will be paying at least 126$ every year and potentially a lot more, depending on taxes and the services you choose. For most users, this is a hefty premium for a small performance boost they likely won't even notice. Ease of use isn't Cloudways' selling point either. You'll likely have to be more hands on than with most hosting providers and, personally, I'm not a fan of their user interface. Still, it isn't too difficult to learn and get used to. I heavily dislike how they approach emails and I had lots of issues setting them up, but other than that, there's nothing truly special regarding how easy to use Cloudways is. Their support is decent and in my experience, they were helpful, respectful and quick every time so far. I have seen some negative experiences shared online, however, and you should keep in mind that the quality of support will likely be very subjective. Overall, Cloudways delivers on some aspects, fails miserably in others and is okay otherwise.
