I recently completed a new build using the latest Lian Li Lancool 217 case paired with the Lian Li Hydroshift II LCD-C liquid cooler. The LANCOOL 217 features a wooden frame design and a clean Zero RGB setup that pairs beautifully with a wooden desk, creating a warm and refined aesthetic that really stands out. I chose the FANLESS model of the cooler to use Noctua fans. It also includes a dial for controlling RGB lighting and customizing the internal LCD display. The pump runs between 2000 and 2500 RPM. At around 2200 RPM, it's very quiet, and even at full speed, the sound blends in with regular fan noise. I kept the two pre-installed 170mm front fans. For the rear, I added a Noctua NF-A14 PWM chromax.black, and for the top and bottom, I installed my favorite 120mm fan, the NF-A12x25 PWM chromax.black. These fans only come with four black corner pads by default, so if you're aiming for a full black or mixed look, you'll need to buy extra pads separately. I'm planning to upgrade all the fans in my main editing PC once Noctua releases the chromax.black G2 series in both 120mm and 140mm sizes. According to their roadmap, it's expected sometime in Q4 2025, and I'm really looking forward to it. While this system is a high-end AMD Radeon gaming PC, the overall feel is closer to that of a creator-focused setup. I tested the XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9070XT with the stock fan curve, and the memory temperatures were similar to those of other GPUs in the same class.
