John 9 ~ Jesus heals a blind man, His second healing on the Sabbath ~ and boy, do the Pharisees see an opening to condemn Jesus now more than ever! They interrogate the man, his parents, and Jesus, who tells them He came to condemn and to help the blind (figuratively) see and to blind those who can see (make them humble and seek Him). Needless to say, it doesn't end so well for the Pharisees, as they are basically labeled by Jesus as blind-but-will-never-see. The healing is a perfect metaphor for us, seeking to see Jesus and washing in His Living Water the mud from our lives. I invite you to follow a playlist of the John's Gospel! He bought our salvation with the blood of His own Son, so we would be forgiven of all our sins, if we open our hearts and let Him come in to clean us up. God is storing up our treasures in Heaven, if we believe! How to grow as a Christian believer? Don't be ashamed of your good works for Him! Love Him above all things! Love each other as yourself! Realize we cannot do anything without remaining in Him and Him in us! Keep that first joy of salvation ever in your heart, always treating others as God's children, too. Remember that the Word of God judges us; we won't go far judging the Word of God! That's it! We may be in Paradise tomorrow ~ be sure you're on board! Let us not be the ones who break God's heart! Worship Him and receive His Almighty Grace and Mercies, and Love that will see you through this life. With the birthing pains getting closer, with thousands of earthquakes and volcanos erupting, a tornado in winter, not spring, that stayed on the ground for two and a half hours, traveling over 100 miles, the travesty of over 60 wars in this world, Bethlehem, the place where Jesus was born, having been bombed on Christmas day, there may not be many more days to worship Him on this earth ~ for we will be with Him at the wedding feast!
