[Anchor Lead] Prosecutors indicted three figures connected to the Choi Soon-sil scandal on Sunday, including Choi herself, and announced that President Park Geun-hye "colluded" with the suspects in their alleged crimes. They said the president is also a "suspect" in the case. [Pkg] Prosecutors investigating the Choi Soon-sil political scandal have indicted three figures, Choi and two former senior presidential secretaries An Chong-bum and Jeong Ho-seong. The probe team also announced that President Park "colluded with" the three key suspects. [Soundbite] Lee Young-ryeol(Chief of Special Probe Team) : "We believe the president shares collusive ties for a considerable part of various criminal conduct involving suspects Choi, An and Jeong." The prosecution also said the president is charged with urging donations from conglomerate chiefs during separate meetings she held with them while the controversial Mir and K-Sports foundations were being established. The bill of indictment also includes charges that Park ordered steelmaker POSCO to provide preferential treatment to Choi Soon-sil's sports management firm, The Blue K, while ordering Korea Telecom to offer benefits to Choi's advertising firm, Playground Communications. The president is also suspected of handing over documents that should not be viewed by civilians to Choi via former secretary Jeong Ho-seong. The prosecution said it cannot indict Park citing the Constitution, which stipulates the president is immune from prosecution except in cases of insurrection or treason. However the probe team said it will continue to investigate the president.
