Stena Nordica departing Belfast bound for Cairnryan. 8/2/26 Nordica is covering for Stena Superfast Vll which is currently in Birkenhead for dry docking. She will also cover for Superfast VIII when she goes for her dry docking next month. Stena Nordica was new in 2001 to P&O and was named the European Ambassador. She is the sister ship of the European Causeway & Highlander. She operated with P&O until 2004 when she was sold to Stena and was renamed Stena Nordica. In 2015 Nordica was chartered by DFDS Seaways and in 2016 she was chartered by Grandi Navi Veloci. In 2023 she moved to Rosslare to replace the Stena Europe on the Fishguard route. Over the years Nordica has regularly switched between routes acting as a cover vessel.
