Last hunting season, Randy Newberg was lucky enough to fill a Montana wolf tag while out looking for whitetail deer. Since harvesting that wolf, he has hinted at how he planned to eat the meat. He packed out all the meat possible and was waiting to get some expert opinions on the safety of consumption. Well he finally got the okay, and decided to cook up some wolf meat as well as mountain lion. He got the crew together at the office for a special lunch. Paul Kemper prepared the mountain lion as a pulled "pork" sandwich, and Randy put the wolf in a sous vide machine to make sure it hit a safe temperature before finishing it on a hot Burch Barrel. He roped some of the others into trying the meat as well. The consensus is surprising, although Randy says he'd prepare it a little differently next time.
