I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (   / editor  ) of my Sony TZ running Lubuntu 14.4. This shows startup time; opening a few programs such as LibreOffice Writer, Firefox, and System Information and finally shutdown time. My 2007 Sony TZ, was re-purposed with Kingspec zif SSD upgrade, now running Linux Lubunu 14.04 OS. The startup time is fast, and the system is responsive to the SSD. This upgrade is breathing a bit of new life into this little laptop. The Sony TZ 170N is an 11.1-inch ultra-portable laptop released in 2008. It has a 1.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2 GB of RAM, and a 100 GB hard drive. It has a 1366 x 768 resolution LED-backlit display, a SuperMulti DVD burner, and an integrated webcam. The VGN-TZ170N runs Windows Vista Business. The VGN-TZ170N is a well-built and stylish laptop. It is made of carbon fiber and magnesium alloy, which makes it both lightweight and durable. It is also very thin, measuring just 0.7 inches thick. The VGN-TZ170N has a comfortable keyboard touchpad.
