I strongly recommend the following tools for this job: 1) 14 mm Deep Socket for 3/8 Ratchet: https://amzn.to/2N28FCP 2) 3/8 universal joint/ Elbow (almost an impossible job without this): https://amzn.to/2PYFj6C 3) 1.5 inch Extension for 3/8 Ratchet Driver: https://amzn.to/2C8loPN 4) 3/8 extensions of various sizes: https://amzn.to/2NHpPTk Other Tools: 1) Magnet telescoping for removal: https://amzn.to/2PuzWvf 2) 1/4 ratchet driver: https://amzn.to/2C7avOw 4) 1/4" universal joint: https://amzn.to/2NEsAVk 4) Needle nose pliers: https://amzn.to/2NHVe8d 5) 1/4 Torque wrench: https://amzn.to/2PpGCdO (much better than what I used) 6) Screwdriver: https://amzn.to/2LPQz26 FA20DIT Spark plugs replaced on my '14FXT with 53,600 miles (Subaru recommends @ 60k). Spark Plugs Part# 22401AA830. Subaru specifies tightening sparks plugs to 12.9 ft/lbs. Personally I used 13ft/lbs on the torque wrench and then just a hair more by hand using a regular 3/8 ratchet - I did not mention that in the video. Total time for job is around 1 - 2 hrs with the right tools. Took me 2 hrs while taking my time and while recording steps along the way. I have no modifications to the engine, it has always been and will remain stock. UPDATE 2/24/2016: I took my car in for the RECALL: Subaru Service Program WQW-58. A compression / leak down test was performed, my car passed it, and my ECU was updated. Mileage is 58,200 miles, so the new plugs I put in have roughly 5k miles on them when the update was performed. UPDATE August 2018: I hit 120k+ miles on my 14FXT. I replaced the spark plugs months ago at 105k using the same techniques. No problems! Still love the car and getting another set of tires soon :)
