M23 rebels push toward Bukavu after taking Goma in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo

After a two-day lull in fighting, Rwandan backed M23 rebels have resumed their attacks on Congolese government forces in the Southern Kivu province. The fighting comes despite calls from 24 regional leaders for an immediate ceasefire.
