Weekly Wrap Up: #50, 2025 - Sweater Weather and Sterile Trees 😖

This week was all about making sure we had the firewood to get us through winter and cleaning, clearing, and tucking in the garden with mulch. Unfortunately, I discovered that, with the mild and moist weather, allium rust is already on the attack in the garden so I countered by removing the worst offenders and getting Bordeaux Mix sprayed onto all of the garlic. I should have started earlier but I wasn't prepared 🤷🏻‍♀️ I also found out that the two apple trees that I planted are both triploid trees so they are male infertile and will not be able to pollinate each other so I need to plant an apple that can pollinate both. 😖 Despite the ups and downs, I did manage to decorate our Christmas tree and get the dining table decorated for the holidays 🥰 Next week, it's probably a bit more of the same. I need to cut down and compost the asparagus frond forest, prep the space for the new apple addition, find and order the apple tree, and continue with more clearing and clean up. ***** Music: Walk Musician: @iksonmusic
