I wasn't able to do the upper third of the single chair liftline last time I was here, but it looked like there was just enough snow this time around for me to give it a shot. Thin spots and rocks abound, as always, but so much fun! I tried planning out some workarounds for the gnarlier of the suggested airtime (such as at 0:55), but ended up kind of winging it. I was nowhere near the best skier on the mountain that day because wow, there were some crazies going full send off those cliffs to the delight of onlookers on the chair. Not listed in the title are Broadway (green connector trail) and Moody's and Canyon, two other diamond trails on the way to Grand Canyon. Not a huge fan of MRG splitting up all their trail names like that, but oh well. MRG doesn't use a double diamond rating, but I imagine Chute would qualify at other resorts. Advice: Chute is definitely the hardest section of the single chair liftline, but really only because of some particularly sketchy chokepoints. Scouting out a route on the way up should be sufficient if you've done similarly steep or icy trails already. Moody's isnt really necessary to get to Canyon, as you could just continue on Broadway for a little longer if needed. Overall Difficulty: 6/10 Relative Difficulty (Chute, Diamond): 7/10 Relative Difficulty (Moody's, Diamond): 2/10 Relative Difficulty (Canyon, Diamond): 3/10 Relative Difficulty (Grand Canyon, Diamond): 3/10 Difficulty Comparison: Harder than Beaver and Panther, easier than Fall Line and Paradise Accessibility Rating: 3/10 (One of the only ways off the single that doesn't require a long uphill section, though signage as a whole could be better) Open Trail Index: N/A (No idea) Enjoyment Rating: 7/10
