Historic Centre of Urbino - UNESCO World Heritage Site

The UNESCO World Heritage site of Urbino, Italy, is a classic medieval hilltop town, built in stone and heavily fortified. Renowned as a centre of arts and culture during the Renaissance, it was also the birthplace of artist Raphael. Although it was quite a pleasant place to wander around and explore, unfortunately for us it was covered in thick fog the day of our visit, so we weren't able to see as much as we wanted to!
