The increasingly popular Morfa Dyffryn Naturist Beach is found between Harlech and Barmouth, Wales UK. This time, I visited mid week, and there were around a hundred people on the nudist section. It is a long wide beach so it doesn't feel at all crowded. The nudist section of the beach is accessed via a long walk south from the popular Shell Island Campsite or a shorter walk north from Dyffryn Seaside Estate. If accessing from the Seaside Estate you can park for free on the road just past the entrance to the estate, however this fills up quickly, and there is easier parking on the Dyffryn Seaside Estate, simply drive in until you get to the mini roundabout and turn left, follow the road to the left to the car park and park on the field at the end. It is then a 200m walk over the dune path to the beach. There is a height restriction on entry to the car park, so if you are in a camper van, you might have a slightly longer walk. At busy times, there is a parking charge of £4 (Cash ONLY no cards). Alternatively, you can take the longer walk from Shell Island Campsite, and if you are not staying there, a day pass is £10 for a car. Prices correct June 2024 We have been coming to this beach for many years and it is certainly getting more popular. In recent years there has been a build up of shingle on the beach right where the dune path from the car park comes out onto the beach, so although it is possible to walk from the car park barefoot, on the sandy path, you will probably want some footwear to pass over the shingle. After that, it is just a fine sandy beach, although do watch out for the jelly fish that have been left behind by the tide and the razor clam shells. As mentioned this is a long wide beach in Wales, (FKK strand) although the signage also in Welsh says that sunbathing in the dunes is not permitted, a lot of people do so and there can be a lot more people there than it would initially seem. Be warned if you venture into the dunes. It's a somewhat hidden location, and some people decide to engage in more adult activities than just sunbathing.
