I'm posting this to educate rather than humiliate so in order to avoid appearing on here like these drivers follow these rules 00:00 - 00:35 - The driver of this green Fiat did three dangerous things in space of a few minutes. Started with the failing to give way at the give way, then turning across the path of the oncoming car, then moving round the parked car and into the path of the oncoming car. I spoke to the driver who was 24 (Too young to die as I said) and explained that having had to cut people out of wrecked cars and having seen the horrific injuries caused in such encounters I'm keen for everyone to avoid such occurrences 00:35 - 00:45 - Another one failing to give way at the give way. Ditto 04:30 00:45 - 03:42 A good way to avoid driving too close to the vehicle in front is to wait until said vehicle passes a fixed point then say 'Only a fool breaks the two second rule' and if you pass the same point before you finish saying this you are driving too close. Ditto 04:45 - This driver sat behind me blaring his horn because I wouldn't move forward at the lights. The reason I wouldn't move forward was it was a box junction and I was unwilling to enter it until I knew I wouldn't be stopped on the junction or the pedestrian crossing. The driver of this car was however quite happy to sit looking at his phone while in control of the vehicle and to follow at what was at the least an inappropriate distance 07:30 - This driver twice didn't bother to indicate and then followed a little too close most of the way up the road before overtaking. They were then in front of me at the next lights so didn't really achieve much 09:30 - This driver didn't bother stopping for the give in the car park and then at the roundabout a few seconds later takes the left lane despite turning right and cuts across dangerously 03:44 - At roundabouts give way to traffic coming from the right and traffic already on the roundabout. Ditto 10:36, 11:34 04:11 - Red lights mean 'STOP'. If you can stop safely for an amber light you must do so. If you are approaching an amber light it is not going to change to anything else but red. Ditto 12:14 10:41 - If towing a trailer you're required to have a trailer board so that your lights and number plate can be seen. Not doing so is dangerous because your lights can't be seen, and additionally if this driver had been involved in a collision and failed to stop they'd be difficult to trace because of the lack of a number plate 10:59 - Special mention here - This van was already following too closely (See two second rule mentioned above) and for some reason decided to drive very much closer, Quite why baffles me 11:14 - When driving in the dark, Lights are important. Glad I was able to remind this driver before anything happened!!! 11:55 - If coming to a junction and two broken white lines are in front of you that means 'Give way' it does not mean 'Pull out ahead of oncoming traffic' 12:55 - Special mention to the driver of the red BMW who didn't even attempt to stop for the 'Give Way' lines at the roundabout. You're a stupid entitled fucking idiot and one day you will end up causing a collision that will result in an insurance claim against you, and may result in death, injury or criminal charges, which if they result in serious injury or death you will end up going to prison. You looked in my direction, knew I was on the roundabout and didn't even try and slow down, instead choosing to speed onto the roundabout making no attempt to stop. I didn't even drive like this the night I was rushing my partner to hospital. The fact you're driving a BMW doesn't mean you're better than anyone else. Stop driving like this, because if you do this again I will report you as surely as night follows day - Something I do not relish the prospect of Everyone please stay safe whether driving, cycling, motorcycling or walking. The minute you stop respecting other road users or the potential damage your vehicle can cause you're a hazard. I have dealt with the aftermath of both minor and serious road collisions. It's because of the examples of driving displayed here that I carry an extensive medical kit with me. I shouldn't have to do this
