This video is part of the @urban_pigeon 'Station to Station' series. A cinematic London walking guide from Waterloo Station to Lambeth North Station. Ditch the Bakerloo Line and walk through one of London's most atmospheric "hidden" corridors. This journey takes us from the bustling York Road entrance of Waterloo, through the subterranean neon of the Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel, and past the eerie remnants of the London Necropolis Railway. The Urban Pigeon Secret – Look at the grand entrance of Westminster Bridge House. This was once the private station for the dead. From 1854 to 1941, funeral trains departed from here to Brookwood Cemetery because London's graveyards were overflowing. The station even had separate waiting rooms for different social classes—and even the coffins were separated by "class" on the platform. It’s a Victorian "Ghost Station" hiding in plain sight.
