Indra Nooyi, former chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, discusses topics ranging from the importance of reinvesting in companies for the long term (by managing sensibly and responsibly instead of just maximizing shareholder value), to what she calls the Care Economy and how working families should have support with child care and senior care, to the role of multinational companies operating in a very complicated geo-political world. The conversation was introduced by Georgetown University McDonough School of Business Dean and William R. Berkley Chair Paul Almeida and moderated by Professor Pietra Rivoli. Through the Stanton Distinguished Leaders Series, Georgetown University connects our students and alumni with renowned leaders who share their unique experiences and engage in dialogue about leadership in an ever-changing world. The series was made possible through the support of Georgetown parents Daniel and Mary Stanton (P’12, P’14).
