We basically only see either Paralympic "heroes" or weepy and sappy stories of vulnerable, pitiful but brave people! There is little space for unbiased portraits and everyday life in movies, TV and suchlike. We are in 2017, we have had enough of sensationalist stories! Portaying our lives as tragic and "other" is the last thing we need, in our bumpy path toward rights, equality and an inclusive society. The main message of Wheelchair users' Karma is, instead of ruining our digestions with these outdated narratives, get us ramps and curb cuts!! Wheelchair users still can't access many shops and navigate cities freely.
