Cutting the First Ever Hole at The Backyard Golf Course

It's finally time to cut a hole for a cup and flag at the Backyard Golf Course. It's taken a while to build the Backyard par 3 golf course, complete with two Bentgrass putting greens, and today is the day to install the first ever cup and pin. We use a hole cutter and set the cup and flag, and we're ready to putt. The golf greens were made from USGA Rootzone mix, and the Creeping Bentgrass has grown in to the point where they are starting to feel like real putting greens. Once the holes are cut, I set the Toro Reelmaster reelmower to the lowest setting yet and mow the greens smooth. The finished mowing looks great as we get one step closer to our final height of cut.
