USC APIFSA’s Industry and Identity event series invites USC API staff, faculty, and alumni to speak about their careers. In addition to sharing how their identities have influenced their journeys, guests will explore a variety of professional development topics from mentorship to networking and more. On Monday April 4, Dr. James Hu, Associate Professor in Clinical Medicine at USC Keck School of Medicine, was in conversation with Jynette Querubin, Director of the Clinical Operations Business Intelligence Team in the Value Improvement Office at Keck Medical Center of USC. Dr. Hu has over 30 years of clinical and educational experience and has served as Director of the Oncology Fellowship Program since 2015. As a recent graduate of the EdD program at Rossier, Dr. Hu’s dissertation topic titled “Addressing Physician Burnout: Is there a relationship to leadership behaviors” is becoming the basis of a new physician leadership program. This event was sponsored by KSOM Mental Health Inclusion and NeuroDiversity Resource Group (MIND IRG). © University of Southern California / APIFSA
