They both went missing on 10/17/2024 but are unrelated circumstances. Sam Benastick (20) disappeared while on a ten day hiking and camping trip in the Redfern-Keily Park in British Columbia, Canada. He was due back on October 17, 2024 but never showed up. The Northern Rockies RCMP initiated a search and is currently conducting ground and aerial searches. If you have any information regarding this case please contact The Northern Rockies RCMP at: 250-774-2700 My thoughts and prayers go out to Sam, his family and all his loved ones and praying he's found soon🙏🙏 The second disappearance is Jim Barnes (28) who disappeared near the town of Chetwynd B.C on October 17, 2024. He is 5'11 with brown hair and eyes and was with his dog Murphy. His vehicle was found with his keys and most of his belongings inside. Jim and his dog were no where to be found. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jim and Murphy and pray they are found safe soon🙏🙏 If you have any information as to where James may be, saw the vehicle he was driving, were in the area of 269 Road and Ground Birch Road, have dash cam video or have seen his dog “Murphy”, you are asked to call the Chetwynd RCMP at 250-788-9221.
