Building new connections: Wyecroft Road Extension & Bridge

Halton Region is extending Wyecroft Road between Bronte Road and Burloak Drive in the Town of Oakville to service increasing traffic demands and provide new travel options. The road extension and bridge crossing will connect the City of Burlington and Town of Oakville over Bronte Creek, providing safe travel options for motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, transit users and first responders. Immediate benefits include: Providing motorists with an alternative route, relieving traffic congestion on local roads and the QEW; Reducing commuter time to get to Appleby and Bronte GO stations; Improving the bus network between GO stations, providing more options for commuters who rely on public transit; Connecting adjacent employment lands, providing business owners, employees and consumers easier access to work and retail; and Providing alternative transportation options with new multi-use pathways and on-road cycling infrastructure. This project is part of Halton’s Building a Better Halton Program.
