On March 16, 160 people came together in Hasselt Belgium to learn Townes Van Zandt's Bluegrass classic "If I Needed You" from the movie Broken Circle Breakdown. This love song is a wonderful example of how beautifully music can bring people together in all their pure "humanity." Not only was there beautiful close harmony after only 2.5 hours of rehearsal and having fun together, but there was also an overwhelming sense of connection among all the participants. Participants came from all walks of life and ages - some were married couples, some were friends from university and some were just meeting each other for the first time! You could feel that everyone was there because they wanted to be there and because they loved singing together.
