Echogenic Fetal Bowel || Ultrasound || Case 141 Clinical Features: A young married female patient came with amenorrhoea for 9 months. Ultrasound Features: An echogenic fetal bowel loop is seen, echogenicity of which is more than liver & adjacent fetal bones. Remember: To avoid overdiagnosis, report echogenic bowel when the fetal bowel echogenicity is similar or more than surrounding bone. Grading: Grade 0: isoechoic to liver Grade 1: mildly hyperechoic to the liver or less than bone Grade 2: moderately hyperechoic compared to the liver or as echogenic as bone Grade 3: markedly hyperechoic compared to the liver or greater than bone Special thanks: Radiopaedia Thank you for watching.
