Erie County Recognizes National Human Trafficking Prevention Month

Deputy Erie County Executive Lisa Chimera joins Kelly Diane Galloway, Founder and Executive Director of Project Mona’s House to recognize Human Trafficking Prevention Month and to debut a new exhibit, "Kahlia's Story." "Kahlia's" is a fictional composite character, built from the real stories of women and girls served through Project Mona’s House. This exhibit intentionally centers the social determinants of health and the layered pathways that lead to vulnerability long before a trafficker ever appears. It confronts the dangerous oversimplification of trafficking narratives and directly challenges false beliefs about “choice.” The public is invited to view the exhibit now through January 19 in the vestibule of Renovation Church on Hertel Avenue.
