Guleid Jama talked to us about Somaliland's upcoming Local and Parliamentary Election

Somaliland is scheduled to hold it’s seventh elections in just couple of days, May 31 2021 to be exact. These are going to be a joint local and parliamentary elections to be held for the first time, and as such would present a unique set of challenges and expectations both internationally and domestically. To discuss those and other election related issues we reached out to Guleid Ahmed Jama a PhD candidate. Former chair the human rights centre in Somaliland and is also a prominent Human rights activist.
