The water is now all connected and we are very happy with the result. With a bit of hard work and minimal material costs our flow rate is over three times what it was and we have a much cleaner and future proof supply. All connections were carried out on our water company's lead/iron replacment scheme so it was just a case of getting a form filled in and the new pipework checked. I hope this helps any of you who are struggling with old pipework and poor flow rates.
