Refurbishing and Re-profiling a Used Knife | Blade Talk Tuesday Ep 46 - 4K

In this longer-than-average episode of SurvivoTek's "Blade Talk Tuesday" (ep. 46), we're refurbishing and then re-profiling and then sharpening a used woodlore style knife, called the Classic Wolflore, made by Gray Wolf Knives or GWK. I purchased a well-used knife off the BushcraftUSA forum, where I do a lot of my buying and selling. It had formed a heavy patina and the white/ivory micarta/g10 handle was in need of cleaning as well. These project pieces are super fun and really don't take much time or effort. And the greatest part is you often get a great knife for a great price. My personal method is to simply sand off the outer layer of corrosion on the blade using progressively finer grits of sandpaper and polish the handles with just water and sometimes a little soap. To finish things off, I sharpen up the blade and strop it to a polished razor. Then I can treat the carbon steel with oil or (in this case) fixin' wax.
