This chorale prelude on Jesu, meine Freude from Johann Sebastian Bach is from the Neumeister Collection, in which are many early organ pieces from Bach. This piece is played on the upcoming sample set of Sonus Paradisi of the beautiful Johann David Sieber organ (1708) of Polná, Czechia. If you like a raw plenum sound in meantone temperament, this is the perfect organ for it. There are no reeds on the manuals, but there are two strong reed stops in the pedal. There is no pedal coupler, which gives the pedal line character of its own. I have played this piece before as part of a video in which I play a selection of the Neumeister Collection (not only Bach, but also Sorge, Zachow, J.M. Bach).
